re you interested in freshening up the look in your living room? How about

your bedroom? Did you know that one common household staple could easily
transform a room in seconds? It’s so simple and all it takes is a mirror.

Mirrors are the common ground every household shares. We have mirrors in

almost every room in our homes yet they are under appreciated and taken for
granted. Mirrors come in all shapes and sizes. Some come with bright, bold

exteriors and others just delicately simple, yet beautiful. Using a mirror can give
any room that fresh, bold design look. In this post we take a look at what some of

HGTV’s designers had to say about this everyday decorating tool.

Designer Celia Berliner says, “Using a framed, full-size mirror and resting it on the
wall can become incredible asset.” These types of mirrors can make a dramatic

statement even in a small space. They can be useful on an accent wall in a
bedroom even. Similar to Celia’s ideas, designer Andreas Charalambous says by

using an oversized mirror it can relect the natural light and enhance an open

loor plan.

Go mirror crazy! Amy Bubier suggests using mirrors as pieces of art in the modern
home. She says, “The scale of the mirrors should be proportional to each other

and the wall space.” She also says to avoid using small mirrors on a large wall.

Whether you are on a budget or just looking for that one conversation piece to
complete a room, using a mirror should be on your list. Whether you choose a

piece that is bold and loud or something that is understated yet classic using a
mirror could give that room the look you have always wanted.
