Last month, our local charity of choice - St. Vincent de Paul - asked if we would be able to donate some furniture to a woman who had previously been homeless, but through the success of their program was moving into her own apartment. Our general manager approved a "living room and dining room" grouping to be donated.

Bonnie Bauman, Training Facilitator

Hello Bonnie,

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for your gift of lovely modern furniture to one of our very special clients/guests. Our guest has recently exited homelessness and is in her very own apartment.

Please allow me to tell you a little about her. Growing up in foster care, she found herself alone and forming unhealthy partner relationships. She is a single mom whose last partner abandoned the family in her last trimester of pregnancy. She was placed on bed rest. With 2 children and a newborn, lost job; she found herself homeless!

In spite of one hard knock after another, she is resilient and, with the support of SVdP, has completed a pharmacy technician program and landed her dream job in nuclear medicine; making cancer-fighting radiation drugs! She is smart and excels.

You helped give her and the kids (3) dignity. They have furniture more lovely than she could have imagined. Please know that we are grateful to you and your company.
