On June 18, AFR Furniture Rental welcomed more than 200 event professionals to Dezerland Park Orlando for Driven by Design, a showcase built around creativity, collaboration, and the return of a longtime AFR Orlando tradition.

For Luci Straub, Special Events Account Executive at AFR, reviving the AFR Networker and AFR Tour experience had been a goal since returning to the company. The last Orlando networker was held in 2014 at Hard Rock Live, and bringing that energy back called for a venue with plenty of possibilities. Dezerland proved to be the perfect fit, offering nearly 40,000 square feet of space and an extensive automobile collection that inspired the evening’s Driven by Design theme.

The AFR Orlando team approached the venue as a blank canvas, carefully planning each area to create unexpected moments and showcase a wide range of furniture. One of the evening’s highlights was the Design Gallery, where four distinctive vehicles were paired with curated AFR vignettes.

A Rolls-Royce once owned by Princess Diana was paired with the Zeppelin Sectional, while an N2A complemented the Verve Collection alongside a pyramid of new Talon Tables arranged like a trophy display. A Havana-themed station wagon was paired with the Forma Collection, and a teal microcar completed the gallery alongside Latitude.

Throughout the venue, guests discovered even more AFR products while connecting with colleagues, creative partners, and members of Orlando’s event community.

Bringing an experience of this scale to life took a true industry collaboration. Eighteen partners, including AFR, contributed everything from staging, drape, AV, lighting, branding, and entertainment to florals, photography, videography, and an impressive variety of food and beverage offerings.

The result was exactly what Driven by Design set out to create: a space filled with ideas, conversation, and plenty to discover.
